An archive of film photographs taken in different countries over several years. As you leaf through these photographs, you may not immediately recognize the countries where they were taken, nor will you automatically connect the people depicted in them with the places they were born or live in. To do that, you would need a broader context: at the very least, a panorama of the street and the people’s voices.
But the possibilities of photography are limited, and strangely enough, in these images the similarities are much more evident than differences—those barely noticeable wrinkles and twinkles, gestures and gazes, pains and joys that make us humans, in any language and any part of the world.
